Telling Time

In our district, the students start learning how to tell time on an analog clock in first grade.  The topic is revisited when they enter second grade. Here are some of the ways we practice our skills using software, websites, and apps:

Software

On the computers, we have a program called Clock Faces made by Micrograms.  This program was purchased as a site license. Within the program students are quizzed on their ability to tell time on an analog clock, able to set the time on an analog clock, answer questions about a calendar, and match digital to analog times.  An impressive feature about this program are the options.  In any of the given activities, teachers or even the students can change the difficulty level. For example, the time intervals can be set to an hour, half hour, quarter hour, five minute, or one minute.
